The “Taj Mahal of acoustics” is an abandoned water tank in the desert of Colorado. For decades, musicians from around the country have gathered in secret to play inside the 10 story steel structure, sneaking in and out under the cover of darkness and recording sounds like no others. Now the new owners of the historic landmark at the edge of town, these musicians are taking their project out of the shadows and finding their place in the local community.
